Further progress - June 2026

To mitigate the production delays with the proper BuzzCopper v2 custom PCB we have designed a second PCB which will be soldered up by volunteers in the UK and uses the same components that were used for BuzzCopper v1. If testing goes well this will allow us to provide devices in early/mid July instead of late August. This device (BuzzCopper v2b) will cost slightly more to make than the proper v2 device but we feel the earlier availability makes it worth doing. BuzzCopper v2b will operate in exactly the same way as the v2 device, runs the same firmware/AI model and fits the BuzzCopper v2 plastics.
